Young Enterprise North East

Introduction

Our programmes are designed to offer students the chance to be enterprising and to learn how business works.

All our programmes are fun and interactive – truly ‘learning by doing’.

Beginning in 1963 with just the Company Programme, we have expanded our range of programmes to 11 this year.

We are now proud to offer programmes to students aged 4 - 25+ regardless of background or ability.

New Government Initiative

With the introduction this year of a government initiative to provide all students aged 14-16 with 5 days of enterprise before they leave school, demand for our programmes from the education sector is growing.

Learn to Earn, Personal Economics, Gimme 5!, Enterprise in Action and Franchise Programme are all pilot programmes this year, developed in response to feedback from teachers and lecturers.

Our programmes fit 3 distinct categories:

Company based programmes including Graduate Programme, Company Programme, Team Programme and Franchise Programme.

Students experience first hand the highs and lows of running their own business over a minimum of 3 months and up to maximum of 2 years.

Classroom based programmes including Primary Programme, Gimme5!, Enterprise in Action, Project Business, Learn to Earn, Personal Economics.

Run over a maximum of 7 weeks, these programmes fit into the school curriculum and can run in lesson time.

Entrepreneurship Masterclass runs as a one day event.

This programme is a one or half day seminar developing students’ enterprise skills and introducing them to life as a business owner.
