Young Enterprise North East

The benefits to businesses

The success of Young Enterprise North East’s programmes relies on the huge network of business volunteers who take time out to support the region's young people.

By supporting Young Enterprise North East companies are not only investing in the young people of today, they are also investing in the region's future businesses of tomorrow.

As well as creating a more enterprising workforce, many young people who take part in a Young Enterprise North East programme during education take the skills they have learnt and turn these into businesses, which are essential to the future of the North East economy.

Benefits to your organisation will include:

Broadening business and management skills, in particular communication, interpersonal and team working skills.

Profile your organisation as an employer of choice before your future workforce and leaders of tomorrow.

Demonstrate to your company’s stakeholders and shareholders a positive contribution to the local community, highlighting your organisation’s commitment to corporate social responsibility.

Demonstrate your organisation's commitment to the future of the North East’s economy by encouraging the development of an entrepreneurial mindset amongst the region's young people.

How businesses actually help us

We are grateful for the support of many businesses throughout the region who have worked with us on several different projects.

Without their support the delivery of our programmes to young people would have been impossible.

Their involvement has been from an hour a week over a 5/6 week period, a whole day delivering a master class to, an annual commitment to mentor and guide our company programme students.

Below are just some of the companies that currently are supportive of Young Enterprise North East:

Proctor and Gamble, Northern Rock Foundation, NCJ Media, Cummins Engines, Eversheds, BT, EDF Energy, NCFE, Pricewaterhouse Coopers, Business Link, Northeast Press, Nike, 2Touch, RMT, Fone-Logistics, O2 and many more.
